The master-planned community of Midtown bills itself as a new brand of healthy, urban neighborhood with a character all its own.
Nestled between 64th and 68th Avenues to the north and south, and Federal Boulevard and the Clear Creek Trail, Midtown is a quick drive or bike ride from some of Denver’s hippest neighborhoods and benefits from the cachet of the fabulous restaurants, art galleries and nightlife found in Highlands, RiNo and LoDo.
The neighborhood also offers quick access to U.S. 36 and I-70, so heading to Boulder, the mountains or anywhere along I-25 are easily doable. And for RTD light rail users the B Line’s Westminster Station at 6995 Grove St. is nearby and, once all the testing is done, the G Line will open with two conveniently close stations: Pecos Junction and Clear Creek/Federal.
This 184-acre neighborhood is a stand-alone gem.
Midtown is almost 12 years old, (the neighborhood’s first homeowners moved in July 2013), and is built around smart residential growth and outdoor activities with a little bit of hip retail thrown in.
Among its strong points are the range of energy-efficient homes bordering Home Plate Park.
Named for its home-plate shape, this award-winning park features an interactive stream and splashpad, a computer-operated fountain, a playground and unique oversized art pieces. It’s the perfect place for neighbors to gather and where kids can safely play.
Mindful of the need for your dog to get some fresh air and space to run, Midtown also has a fenced, off-leash dog park where your four-legged friends can socialize with their buddies.
For those looking for outdoor fun you can take advantage of two of the community’s parks, Home Plate and Midtown. Interested in getting out of the neighborhood? Take advantage of the Clear Creek bike path that connects to seven other hiking/biking trails.
You can go all the way to Bear Creek Lake Park, Cherry Creek Reservoir, even Chatfield State Park if you’re feeling particularly energized.
And there is also a community club and garden called The Shed that hosts lectures, cooking classes, concerts and more.
In the heart of Midtown at 1675 W. 67th Ave. is Bruz Beers, which features artisanal Belgian beer as well as the full menu of their neighbor Backstage Coffee.
For families with young children the Midtown Montessori Academy offers schooling for kids age 8 weeks to 6 years, and Trailside Academy, a PreK-8 school in the Mapleton School District.
Midtown really is a cool boutique community for people of all ages, kids and dogs!
