Housing inventory tightens as market slows
The inventory of homes for sale in Denver fell 2.4 percent to 1,787 single-family properties. New listings fell almost 12 percent to 1,468 (as compared to 1,664 at the same time last year).
Sold listings are a little sluggish, this month falling 10.6 percent. However, homes continue to sell quickly. On average, single-family homes are selling in 22 days, 10 percent faster than in September of 2016.
Homes are selling for the asking price — almost! Homeowners receive on average 99.9 percent of their asking price. Denver continues to be a sellers’ market.
